The Last Stop for Lonely
By Robert L Crane 1-05-14 (open G tuning)
Verse #1
The sun is setting slowly on another lonely day
I find myself hoping somehow or someway
I'll find the last stop and finally get off of this lonely train.
Verse #2
If our shoulders might touch in a crowded cafe and our
if eyes might meet and our hearts start to race
and if the moment is right and we talk all night and loose track of time
Chorus #1
Even though, I don't know, Your name. I love the thought of you, just the same. And one day soon, when your lips meet mine
It will be the last stop for the lonely We'll leave lonely behind.
Verse #3
And when I awake to find it's only a dream a new dawn is breaking with that same old theme I know your out there I just don't know your name
Bridge
This journey won't end every stop looks the same
trying to find my one and only on this loneliness train

Sunny Moon
Verse # 1
The moon was secretly in love with the sun
Whenever they'd meet he'd light up like she was the one
it was plain to see why he was all a-glow
he was in love with the sun but she didn't know
Verse #
Well the sun believed she was ordinary star
and she dreamed of his moonbeams after dark
she was longing to experience
a celestial romance
and she dreamed of mr. Moonbeams from a-far
Chorus
He was falling for her shiny star
She was lighting up his moon beams from a far
so when sun goes down the moon starts to rise
The big bang's gonna happen
and the sparks fly
when the dark side of the moon sees the light
Instrumental
Verse 3
They say the full moon came out so bright
in the middle of the day
and the sun grew dark and black
in a most peculiar way
It caused a solar eclipse
when he kissed her on her lips
It was a sunny honeymoon all the way
Chorus two times and end

All I Ever Wanted
By Robert Louis Crane Jan 14, 2014
He was a simple man, with a loving wife
They didn't have much money to buy the finer things in life
He said son the car that you drive, the clothes that you wear
Won't make you who you are
His country club membership was a the local Y
Family vacations spent camping underneath the clear blue sky
He said I don't believe that the holidays should have a season
He had his reasons
And I can still hear him say
Please don't buy me any gifts for Christmas,
I've got everything I need,
Every day is like Thanksgiving
With all the blessings that I've received
All I ever wanted was a house that I could call my own
All I ever needed was a loving wife and you kids
To make this house, to make this house a home
All I Ever wanted
Please listen when I say
You're all I ever wanted
For me it's like Christmas ever day
All I ever wanted was a house that I that could call my own
All I ever wanted was a loving wife and you kids
So we could make , so we could make this house a home
All I ever wanted please listen when I say
You are all I ever wanted
For me it's like Christmas ever day

intro --- D A7 D
Verse 1
There was knock on the door it was a little neighbor girl named June
and my heart started aching when she told me the news
her cousin Aimee a young mother of two she got the answer she had cancer
So June asked what she could do and her momma told her
Aimee's gonna need a lot of prayers to see her through
Verse 2
June said I guess that God must be kind of busy with all the prayers that he sees
So I started Aimee's list for all the prayers that I don't really need
This here's my pony and the new bike I've been wishing for
I gave those prayers to Aimee's list because I know she needs them more
So if you find yourself praying for something you don't need
would you put it on for Aimee's' list please
Chorus
one little prayer, from everybody , every day
Give your prayer to Aimee's list we can send them Gods' way
Maybe we can find the answer to this cancer so they can all live out their lives
We all need our mothers, sisters, daughters, cousins and wives
Chorus
just one little prayer, from everybody , every day
Give your prayer to Aimee's list we can send them all Gods' way
Maybe we can find the answer to this cancer so they can all live out their lives
We all need our mothers, sisters, daughters, cousins and wives
(Repeat and ask audience to join in singing
(sing softer then gradually louder)
we all need our mothers, sisters, daughters, cousins and wives
we all need our mothers, sisters, daughters, cousins and wives
we all need our mothers, sisters, daughters, cousins and wives
yes we all need our mothers, sisters, daughters, cousins and wives
put them on Aimee's list
mothers, sisters, daughters, cousins and wives
Maybe we can find the answer to cancer and we can give them back their lives
we all need our mothers, sisters, daughters, cousins and wives
Aimee's List

So they can live out their lives , live out their lives

The Good Stuff

The Good Stuff
I drive a pick up truck don't wear no cowboy hat
I used to have dog but now I've got two cats
I love to wear my favorite pair
of pointy toed cowboy boots
I used to drink too much
but now I'm down to just a sip
I could be kind of loud but now I keep it zipped
I seem to whistle when I'm nervous I can't help it
I swear I don't do it on purpose
I like the view form the middle so I can see both sides
I like it best when my left and my right both coencide
I don't like too little but I'll go just far enough
I'ts all right here in our lives and we call it the good stuff
Had our honeymoon down in Paris France
Then we came back home &
made our wedding plans,
Some folks think it's strange
seemed perfectly normal to me
We like to have our desert and rest for a little while then we might have some breakfast
later on at dinner time
our life is very simple when we just agree to agree
I like the view form the middle so I can see both sides
I like it best when my left and my right both coencide
I don't like too little and I'll go just far enough
I'ts all right here in our lives
and we call it the good stuff
We like to take a little nap and then watch the game
Then we'll make sweet love
and we'll call that a perfect day
We might start off real slow
and then later on
we'll just taper off
Well I like her and she likes me
we just seem to enjoy eachothers company
it's a plain and simple beuatiful life we lead
Come on now
I like the view form the middle so I can see both sides
I like it best when my left and my right both coencide
I don't like too little but I'll go just far enough
cause i'ts all right here in our lives and
we call it the good stuff
I'ts all right here in our lives and
we call it the good stuff
Man it's good we just call it the good stuff

I Know These Things By Robert Louis Crane 9-17-17
Verse
I know you’ve got my back North, East , West and South
You say the words I'm thinking
Before they come out of my mouth
Verse
Our love runs deep Like a Blue Hour Sky
Our love will last forever
I don’t know how, but I know why
Chorus
I’ve seen the green flash of the sunset, I know the lighting strikes
I’ve seen the shooting start falling, in a pale moonlight
I know the hummingbird is flying, even l though I can’t see his wings
I know this love will last forever , Just like I Know Like I know these things
Verse
I know this feels like home, lying next to you here
Wrapped in the warmth of your skin,
I’m lost in the scent of your hair
Verse
Our love runs hot, like a blacksmiths' fire
Forged in a flame of passion
and it burs with desire
Chorus
I’ve seen the green flash of the sunset, I know the lighting strikes
I’ve seen the shooting start falling, in the pale moonlight
I know the hummingbird is flying, even though I can’t see his wings
I know this love will goes on forever, Just like I Know Like I know these things

Put Up A Fight
02:21
|
|||
Put up a fight, put up a fight
come out swinging with all of your might
Put up fight, put up a fight
You've been knocked down and kicked around
most of your life
It's time to prove it once and for all
you can take the punches and not take the fall
You're not gonna stand up tall
Put up a fight
Put up fight, put up a fight
life pulls you down
but you still got your pride
Put up fight, put up a fight
it is always darkest before you see the light
You may be battered, bloody and bruised
but you've got nothing, nothing left to loose
all you gotta do is choose
Put up a fight
(hum the chorus )
Your heart is aching and full of pain
it's time to break out from all of your chains
if you do your life will never ever, ever be the same
Put up a fight

“Dreams” - Music and Lyrics by Robert Louis Crane
(Intro Instrumental ) Chords- Verse- G , C, D, C, G Chorus C, Em7, Em, A7, D
There is an early morning dew,
I start the coffee off to brew,
and as the night turns into day,
that sunlight slips in through the shade,
I start my day with you.
I had a dream about you last night,
I held you close in the candle light
You whispered softly in my ear,
and as I held you near ,
I kissed your neck and then you sighed
What I was wishing for
was someone to love me like you do
Now I don’t Have to wonder
you've made my dreams come true
I hold you in my arms each night ,
I’m loving you with all my might,
I’ve told you many time it’s true,
since I found you,
all my dreams have come true
What I was wishing for
Was Someone to love me like you do
now I don’t Have to wonder , You've made my dreams come true
You've made my dreams come true

I Wonder If You
by Robert Louis Crane Copywrite 2011
Verse # 1
Your Momma told me her secret, a long long time ago
And I swore I would keep it ,
I was just too young to know
that this secret I'd be keeping...
would be my biggest regret
That secret was you my son … whom I've never met
Verse # 2
I think God had a plan for someone to hold your hand when you first tried to walk
I bet your mom and dad
where so proud when you said ,
your first words as you talked
And I wish I was there
to dry your eyes and hold you tight
when those bad dreams awoke you
like they often do in the middle of the night
Chorus
And I wonder if you , ever wonder too … ?
About what could been if I ever met you
Not a day can go bye , I'm not reminded of you
My life's biggest regret, is the secret I've kept
My son, whom I've never met
Verse #3
Are your eyes crystal blue
like your grandmas' were too ?
Do you have my curly hair?
Is there a scar on your knee
when you from that tree
that you climbed on a dare?
I wish I'd given you the keys to the family car for your first big date
And I'm sorry that I wasn't there to see you graduate
Chorus
And I wonder if you , ever wonder too … ?
about what could been if I ever met you
Not a day can go bye , I'm not reminded of you
My Life's biggest regret is the secret I've kept
You're the son whom I've never met
Verse # 4
I dream you are all grown with a house and wife and a son of your own
Did you teach him to fish and ride a bike and catch a ball that you've thrown
And if you cherish them half as much as I do of all my thoughts of you
Well then you're truly blessed my beautiful son whom I never knew

Ode To Jordan 1-31-12 Copyright Bob Crane -415-726-9571
G A7
We've got old memories and they're fading, like glowing embers in the dark
underneath they are just waiting ... to ignite, all they need is just a spark
Like looking through a dirty window, tomorrow ain't too clear to see
wasting time worrying about the future was killing the littler miracles of our daily routine
Chorus
C
I don't want to let you go, it's the right thing and I know
You're counting on me to do my part , It's up to me, to break my own heart
Our time is coming to an end , don't want to loose my old friend
What's Ailing you is killing me the final curtains coming down now you can rest in peace
Verse #2
My Heart can't get my blood to flow, my feet are dragging down the stairs
This is the last quiet morning that we will ever share
I could not let myself believe you would ever have to leave
Does it ever really end will I see you again it a mystery to me
2nd Chorus
I don't want to let you go, it's the right thing and I know
You're counting on me to do my part , It's up to me, to break my own heart break my own heart

We Fly The Flag
By Robert Louis Crane 5-29-17-Memorial Day
Well my nephew was asking , why grandpa flew the flag from the porch
So I told him about the battle of the “Big Week", back in February of 44
There was the pilot Mc Mullen, your Grandpa, and eight other crew
They were fighting the Nazis, B-24s were the planes that they flew
"Operation Argument," was launched on that fateful day
Heaven knows they were hell-bent, to stop Hitler and his war machine
Chorus
Flags are flying on the homes for those who didn’t make it back
For every fatherless child, there were two mothers dressed in black
We owe our lives today to the sacrifice they made
We fly the flag, for the brave souls we lost we must never forget
Hundreds of planes they flew out
The roar of the engines filled the sky
Every man knew without a doubt,
That some of them, this night were going to die
The shrapnel ripped right through the plane,
Fire and smoke were all around
He counted 9 parachutes,
but Pilot McMullen, well he never made it out
Bridge
So many lives were saved by the sacrifice you made
So many lives were saved, were saved
Chorus
Flags are flying on the homes, for those who didn’t make it back
For every fatherless child, there were two mothers dressed in black
We owe our lives today to the sacrifice that they made
We fly The Flag, for the brave souls we lost, we must never forget
We fly The Flag, for the brave souls we lost, we must never forget
